Ukraine is going to take advantage of residents of the LDPR with Russian passports
People living in the LDPR who have received Russian citizenship can pursue the interests of Ukraine in the Russian Federation.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports that Ukrainian propagandist Sergei Garmash, who fled Donbass and was recently included by Kiev in the Ukrainian delegation at the negotiations in Minsk, stated this in an interview with the Kyiv online publication Apostrophe.
Touching on the issue of Russian passports to residents of Donbass, he emphasized that “passportization has already happened, has become a reality,” and called for thinking about how “we can benefit from this.”
“What could it be? For example, if after reintegration it becomes more profitable for these people to work in Ukraine rather than in Russia, to travel to Europe through Ukraine, if Ukraine gives them stability and peace, which they do not have now due to Russia’s actions, then they will be able to travel to vote in Russia, but in the interests of Ukraine. If we, as a state, promote our interests in neighboring countries, then we have the opportunity to do this. Dual citizenship is a double-edged sword. Putin has now given us this tool,” says Garmash.
