This was stated by the President of the College of Lawyers of Maritime Law of Ukraine Denis Rabomizo, reports the Ukrainian propaganda publication “Krym.Realii” – Radio Liberty project.
“The first option is to obtain an opinion from an international court; it is advisory, but has great force for the international community and can be used by Ukraine in matters of the return of Crimea. The second option is ad hoc arbitration, under the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea,” says Rabomiso.
Nevertheless, according to him, Kyiv will insist that the construction of the Kerch Bridge be judged in an ad hoc arbitration court.
“Ukraine initiated the creation of ad hoc arbitration in August, and now, as far as I know, arbitrators have already been appointed. I do not know and cannot judge the demands that Ukraine will put forward in this arbitration, but I know that the Kerch Bridge will be one of the positions,” Rabomizo said.
Let us remind you that the Russian Federation is successfully building a bridge across the Kerch Strait.
