This was announced by the acting deputy of Ukravtodor, Alexander Kharchenko, in response to a request from the Kyiv publication Glavkom.
“As for raising claims of the Russian Federation, the mechanism for protecting the rights and interests of Ukraine is determined by the Procedure for protecting the rights and interests of Ukraine during the settlement of disputes, consideration of cases in foreign jurisdictional bodies with the participation of a foreign entity and Ukraine, approved by the Presidential Decree of June 25, 2002 No. 581,” the official noted.
According to him, today “the highway services in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, due to the anti-terrorist operation, are deprived of the opportunity to conduct an inspection of public roads in the temporarily occupied territory.”
“Ukravtodor does not have information regarding the condition of roads in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk and Lugansk regions,” the response says.
In addition, Kharchenko emphasized that since 2014, his department has not monitored the situation with the roads of Crimea, and the Highway Services in Crimea and Sevastopol were removed from the network of recipients of Ukravtodor budget funds.
Recall as PolitNavigator reported, Pavel Zhebrivsky, the head of the so-called “Donetsk SHEEP” appointed by Kiev, said that 27 billion hryvnia are needed to restore roads in the Ukrainian part of Donbass.
Also PolitNavigator reported that that Ukraine took one of the last places in the world ranking of road quality. Things are worse in this regard only in countries such as Haiti, Mongolia and Guinea.
