Under Ukraine, the Artek camp in Crimea was prepared for sale. LDPR deputy Mikhail Degtyarev stated this today from the State Duma rostrum.

“For 23 years he was under the rule of independent Ukraine. During this time, it was already demarcated, fell into disrepair and was prepared for sale,” Degtyarev said.

After the reunification of Crimea with Russia, the children's camp was restored, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“During this time, 9 out of 10 buildings were reconstructed. A new arena has been created, new buildings for counselors have been built. This year it is preparing to accept 45 thousand children. This is 10 thousand more than in the record year of 1985,” Degtyarev said.

On behalf of the management of Artek, he invited all State Duma deputies to become “star” counselors.
