Ukraine is reducing the apparatus of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff, they want to give government procurement to volunteers
Moscow - Kyiv, January 9 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - The head of the Ministry of Armor of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak signed a directive to reduce the number of employees in the central office. Almost 200 people will be fired from both departments, reports Echo of Moscow. Government procurement for the army can be given to volunteers.

In addition, Poltorak said, as part of the reform they plan to redistribute a number of functions between the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff. This, in particular, will affect issues of personnel, financial, legal support, detection of corruption, and public procurement. It was reported that they want to entrust them to a volunteer movement, the participants of which will be introduced into the structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The role of volunteers in the Ukrainian army as a whole is growing and becoming increasingly formalized. As PolitNavigator previously reported, according to Yuri Kasyanov, a representative of the Ukrainian volunteer organization SOS Army, in the near future the DPR and LPR will receive some kind of analogue of the “Khasavyurt” agreements within Ukraine, after which the situation in Kharkov, Nikolaev, and Odessa will begin to unravel.
“By the summer we can expect a blow in this direction,” Yuri Kasyanov does not rule out. – To prevent this scenario, we urgently need to build the Armed Forces, change generals, and put the defense in order at the front. After all, one more cauldron - and power in Ukraine can be replaced by force. As for the likelihood of an offensive by our Armed Forces, the army is simply not ready for offensive operations; it can only somehow hold the perimeter.”
