Kyiv - Simferopol, January 29 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) - Due to the stoppage of railway communication between Ukraine and Crimea, as well as due to the transition to Russian standards, only 2 projects out of 26 for major road repairs were completed on the peninsula.

The Minister for Crimean Affairs Oleg Savelyev stated this during the government hour in the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

“This is due, among other things, to the transition to Russian standards in terms of the development of design and estimate documentation. However, when delivering materials, and in Crimea, as you know, there is a shortage of crushed stone and river sand, when supplies from Ukraine, primarily those going by rail, were cut off, we received significant changes, including price parameters,” Savelyev noted .

According to him, in some cases the blockade led to an increase in prices for materials by more than 2 times.
