“I would call discrimination the main problem of Crimeans who left,” says the lawyer. According to him, if a resident of any region of Ukraine can relatively easily change his place of residence and be a full citizen in other regions, then Crimeans face obstacles in entrepreneurial activity, opening a bank account, etc. “When it comes to a Crimean citizen, many problems immediately arise. problems, many questions, additional requirements. Etc. This can be qualified as discrimination,” says the lawyer.
The remaining Crimeans also had problems. In particular, it is not so easy for them to cross the border with Ukraine. “The Border Guard Service of Ukraine begins to demand some additional documents, information, or even refuses to cross the border, although there is no reason for this,” says Sergei Zayets,
Difficulties may also arise from the Russian border service, which considers Ukrainian passports invalid if they do not have a photograph attached after reaching the age of 25 and 45. Those who have committed crimes, were released on parole and must return to the peninsula and register there cannot enter Crimea.
