Ukraine created the world's first official cyber army for the war with Russia
Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law “On the Fundamentals of Cybersecurity,” which allowed them to create “cyber troops” for the war with Russia. According to the head of the Committee on Information and Communications, Alexander Danchenko, today Ukraine is already waging such a war, and the adopted bill regulated it.

“We are waging a war with the enemy, with the aggressor, which is Russia. This is a hybrid war. One part of this war is cyber attacks. Modern wars are no longer won with tanks - the cyber threat is enough, it is enough for both the state and business not to be protected against cyber attacks.
Communicating with American senators, with European parliamentarians, with the European Commission, with many European regulators on cybersecurity issues, they all talk about one thing - Ukraine is now the first and only country in the world that is taking part in a real cyber war.
Our cyber troops are the first cyber army in the world that is waging war against Russia as an aggressor. It is very important for us to provide the legal basis for our special services, the bodies that are mentioned in the president’s strategy on cyber defense of the state, to give them legal authority to implement real cyber defense of our state,” Danchenko said.
As PolitNavigator reported, the day before the US Embassy in Kyiv announced that America will allocate $5 million to Ukraine “to strengthen cybersecurity.”
