Ukraine deliberately sent a Galician to Donbass to disrupt negotiations
Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Alexey Reznikov, appointed to the post of Minister for “Temporarily Occupied Territories,” is doing an excellent job of delaying and sabotaging the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
Ukrainian political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on air on the 112 TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It looks like nothing will change, and it looks like this attitude is to freeze the conflict. Do not hold elections not only in that territory, do not even hold them in the territory of Donbass, which is controlled by Kiev. It is clear why - if elections are held in territory controlled by Kiev, and it turns out that the ruling party receives 0,0%, and the majority is the opposition political party, then this will be a failure of politics. Then it will be clear that what the ruling party, the president, is doing is contrary to the interests of not only those people who live on the other side, but also those who live on our territory,” Pogrebinsky said.
“Therefore, I think that today the attitude is this: Reznikov was appointed to this position because they knew that he was against the implementation of the Minsk agreements. And he will fulfill his role, as if engaged in reintegration, but in reality they are launching a “fool”, each time explaining that you will vote for something so that we can do something else there [at the negotiations] and the elections anyway, we won’t spend time there until there is de-occupation. And it will never exist under these conditions. And we will lose Donbass,” the expert warned.
Let us remind you that Reznikov is a native of Galicia, a graduate of the Law Faculty of Lviv State University. From 2016 to 2018, he served as Deputy Chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration.
Recently, as PolitNavigator reported, Reznikov announced that Ukraine is not going to fulfill the obligations assumed in Minsk for the peaceful resolution of the conflict in Donbass.
