Ukraine has become deserted: The destruction of Soviet infrastructure lies ahead
The coup in Ukraine led to the country losing millions of workers, and the remaining labor resources are not enough to feed children and pensioners. Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Evgeniy Muraev stated this on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Muraev, in addition, the Soviet infrastructure in Ukraine has become catastrophically dilapidated and bridges and residential buildings are about to begin to fall in the country.
“We have had a “revolution of dignity,” as someone says - I have a different interpretation, everyone absolutely knows it. After which military operations began in the east of our country, blockades and gradual sanctions were introduced, we lost half of the market, and then we lost six million of our citizens, who are now raising the GDP of neighboring countries.
Today I was just leafing through the statistics - to make it clear, in 12 there were a million two hundred migrant workers in total. Now it's about ten million. This is the answer and this is the verdict... We have lost markets, we have lost the opportunity to provide jobs to our citizens, now the number of working-age citizens that remain in the country is unable to feed those who are dependent on us - these are children and pensioners...
Imagine, we now have eight to nine million working people. And the area of Ukraine is one of the largest in Europe. This means roads, infrastructure, pipes, Khrushchev buildings, panel houses. To fix all this, you need to earn money for it. Our bridges are falling, and this is just the beginning, the pipes are not getting any younger. The pipes and most major infrastructure projects took 50-60 years to lay. This is the period of metal corrosion.
Think about what large-scale funds are needed to resonate the infrastructure. Who will earn them? – said Muraev.
