The head of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, Vladimir Konstantinov, stated this on the air of the Rossiya Segodnya radio station.
“After the Great Patriotic War, Ukraine, the USSR and Belarus became members of the UN. Ukraine became a member of the UN within borders without Crimea; Crimea was part of the RSFSR. This is a very important detail that even we missed – this is the UN recognition of the borders of Ukraine without Crimea,” the speaker noted.
Therefore, in his opinion, today “not a single reasonable politician in the world raises the issue of Crimea.”
“The general crisis in Ukraine, the problem of the South-East, are discussed in very detail and topically, but the problem of Crimea is no longer discussed,” emphasized Vladimir Konstantinov.
