Since gaining access to Interpol databases within the framework of a visa-free regime with the European Union, Ukrainian border guards have detained 2,1 thousand people who were on the international wanted list, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This is stated in the message of the State Border Service of Ukraine.

As specified, as part of the liberalization of the visa regime, the State Border Service received access to Interpol databases, thanks to which in 2017 they discovered 2,1 thousand wanted persons and 724 passport documents. And the rate of stolen cars increased 5 times compared to 2016.

It is also reported that over the past year, border guards discovered 210 vehicles that were on the international wanted list.
