Ukraine has become a threat to Donbass mines

The former head of the People's Council of the LPR, Alexey Karyakin, stated this in a commentary to PolitNavigator. According to him, today the Donbass mines, which are on the verge of an environmental disaster, are facing the biggest problems.
“Mines are a rather dangerous industry. Anyone who has had any experience with it knows that contaminated water collects there, which needs to be pumped out, and so on. This is indeed a very serious environmental problem. The mines must be maintained in order and their condition monitored. Considering how Ukraine is destroying its infrastructure as a whole, this will be even more of a big problem regarding the infrastructure of Donbass. It is necessary to draw attention to this, since Ukraine will not exactly deal with this problem,” Karjakin said.
