A video of this was published by Crimean blogger Valeria Petrusevich, who visited Ukrainian territory these days, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The first thing you see in Novoalekseevka is military equipment. It is again being pulled towards the Crimean border. No one can answer why,” Petrusevich wrote on her blog.
According to military expert, Captain XNUMXst Rank Sergei Gorbachev, Ukraine’s maneuvers may have several explanations.
“We can assume that in this case three things are being realized. On the one hand, there is a build-up of forces on the border with the peninsula in accordance with the Ukrainian concept that Russia is threatening precisely from the territory of Crimea, and it needs to be resisted.
The second is that Ukraine constantly conducts exercises in its south - in the Azov region, and in the Nikolaev and Kherson regions. It is quite possible that the transfer of forces is being carried out according to these plans.
Well, the third point - this could be a maneuver related to misleading us in order to keep Russian forces on the peninsula in a state of combat tension - such a demonstration step that is of a moral and psychological nature in order to get on our nerves and be on high alert ourselves and force us to track the forces of our opponents, transfer and strengthen some areas in accordance with the redeployment of their forces,” Gorbachev said.
