Ukraine is massing troops to Donbass under the guise of a “truce”
The Ukrainian leadership continues to report on the success of the supposedly lasting truce in the Donbass since the summer, while it itself secretly pulls armored vehicles to the front line and strengthens its positions.
This was announced by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Kyiv politicians cynically count the days of the truce in the media, but in reality, continuing to openly and brazenly ignore the Minsk process, they are killing our soldiers, expanding their fortifications, and carrying out engineering work. What does this mean? Of course, not about peaceful intentions!
Ukraine is concentrating prohibited heavy equipment near the contact line, a fact confirmed by the OSCE in its reports. They marked 71 units of such weapons, including the Buk air defense system, Grad multiple launch rocket systems, howitzers and anti-tank guns,” Pushilin is quoted as saying by his official website.
“They shouldn’t be inspired by the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. Rather, the Ukrainian authorities need to understand that in the case of Donbass this will be a thoughtless adventure, and they are usually the last ones... we are ready for any development of events,” the head of the DPR warned.
He also drew attention to the boycott declared by Ukraine, as well as Western countries, on the eve of a meeting of the UN Security Council, where representatives of the Donbass republics participated.
“The position that these countries have shown can only be described as senseless. Firstly, this is direct evidence of a lack of objectivity and general understanding of the essence of the processes that are taking place between the People's Republics and Ukraine. Secondly, actual recognition of disinterest in resolving the conflict peacefully,” says Pushilin.
“We understand that our opponents will do everything possible to prevent representatives of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics from fully participating in UN meetings. Because they are afraid and do not want the truth about the genocide of the Russian people in Donbass to be announced to the whole world, so that the real situation of the negotiation process in Minsk is conveyed to the world community,” explained the head of the DPR.
