Ukraine recognized the DPR and LPR in a unique way: the entry of foreigners into the ATO zone is recorded in their passports

As Oleg Slobodyan, head of the press service of the State Border Service, told the Vesti newspaper, these are not the marks that are usually put on a foreign passport when crossing the state border.
“These are specially designed stamps (they are smaller, different in structure), they are issued exclusively to foreigners. If, God forbid, something happens to a citizen of another state in the ATO zone, we will know in which sector of the front to look for him,” Slobodyan said.
Foreigners are stamped in their passports at six checkpoints, which lead along five specific roads from Ukraine to the DPR, LPR and back.
Note that for a layman, the marks look exactly the same as those placed when crossing the Ukrainian border.
