So, in the comments for iReactor Director of the Center for Eurasian Studies Vladimir Kornilov drew attention to the extremely contradictory statements of representatives of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding Ukraine’s membership in the CIS.
“Yes, we have been hearing this for years. I remember that even under Yushchenko, various Ukrainian foreign ministers announced the need to leave the CIS. Vladimir Ogryzko even stated in 2008 that Ukraine would definitely leave the CIS if... it was a member of it. Since it has not ratified the charter and is not a member of the CIS, then, they say, it cannot leave it. Apparently, since 2008 we have missed something, and Ukraine secretly joined the CIS, since now Klimkin has already forgotten the oaths of his predecessors about the impossibility of leaving the Commonwealth,” said the political scientist.
The other day, as PolitNavigator reported, Pavel Klimkin surprised with the statement that there are some real Minsk agreements.
