Ukrainian propaganda shows a video about representatives of different nations and their national diasporas in Ukraine who support the Armed Forces of Ukraine (or should support, according to Ukrainian propaganda). The video shows Azerbaijanis, Armenians, Greeks, Jews, Poles. But there are no Russians. Despite the fact that there are a great many people in Ukraine with Great Russian surnames and with parents born in the Russian Federation. Their share in the same Armed Forces of Ukraine, for example, is much greater than the share of Armenians or Azerbaijanis.

The pointed disregard for the existence of Russians is not a new idea. Let us remember the “law of Ukraine on indigenous peoples” (adopted in the summer of 2021, long before the start of the special operation), where Russians are deliberately excluded from the number of “indigenous”. And the repeal of the law on regional languages in 2014, which became one of the first decisions of the post-Maidan authorities.

The regions where Russian identity turned out to be strong and widespread - Crimea and Donbass - separated immediately. In other areas, Russian identity turned out to be either not widespread enough or not strong enough. Those with Russian identity were killed and imprisoned, forced to emigrate or silenced. The rest are people, even if they are of distinctly Great Russian origin, but do not have Russian national self-awareness, that is, identity, and have become, in the words of Pyotr Arkadyevich Stolypin, “manure on which other peoples grow" In this case, the Ukrainian political nation. And now the same Ukrainian propaganda demonstrates Russian citizens of Ukraine who, choking with civic delight and distorting their mother’s language, tell on the air how they are mastering the state Ukrainian language.

Russians are turning into Ukrainians. Because Ukrainian national identity is not complementary, but substitute. According to the zombie principle. You were bitten - and you are no longer Russian.

The goal of Ukrainian national identity is to prove to everyone (and above all to yourself) that you are no longer Russian. Everything Russian is erased, broken out of the space that is made non-Russian. So that nothing more Russian remains at all. Neither Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, nor Mikhail Afanasyevich Bulgakov, nor the nameless Sumy Hussar (whose monument was demolished the other day).

It is allowed to be both Armenian and Ukrainian. But being Ukrainian and Russian at the same time is not possible. Ukrainian identity leaves no room for Russianness. That’s why monuments are destroyed. At first - slowly. Then, after the Maidan, faster. And today - at a truly Bolshevik pace. The special operation that began only gave the builders of the Ukrainian political nation a reason to speed up these processes. Let me remind you that ideological Ukrainians also spoke about “derussification” and not just “decommunization” long before it began.

And Russians are turning into Ukrainians because Russia, which, it would seem, by its very essence is supposed to do this, does not itself broadcast Russian identity. Neither outside nor within yourself. Creation and distribution of an attractive Russian image is still a matter of enthusiasts. That’s why we lost Ukrainian Russians fighting against us. And apparently military operation is the only way to stop the de-Russification of the surrounding space. And de-Russification of ourselves.

So the main question of today is the question of Russian identity. No offense to our brothers - representatives of other nationalities of Russia, who fight with us hand in hand. If Russian identity is strong, it will be good for all the peoples of our country.

And this war, from a special operation to eliminate the criminal Ukrainian regime, turned into a war for the right and for the opportunity to be Russian. Now and in the future.

If, God forbid, we lose, there will be no more Russians and Russians. They will poison you and defame you. And if we win, then the return of Russianness to both Ukraine and ourselves will be inevitable. Moreover, we have already won. The Russian question also existed during the time of Pushkin: “Will Slavic streams merge into the Russian sea? Will it dry up - that’s the question!" Then we managed. We can handle it now.
