Ukraine is losing what remains of its transit potential
In just a few years, all transit communications will bypass Ukraine.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Sergei Melnichuk stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When our conflict began five years ago, Europe’s greatest fear was that due to the war, energy resources might stop flowing to Europe. Therefore, they behaved very carefully and did not interfere in the war, so as not to aggravate relations with the same Russia... But we see that air traffic and railway traffic have bypassed Ukraine, we have seen that pipelines are being laid, Ukraine as a transit country is losing its position. You see, a few more years and we will lose our transit potential completely. Nobody will want to come back here later,” Melnichuk said.
