Ukraine is losing its leverage in the Azov region. All that remains is terror

Any death of Russian people for Ukrainian propaganda is a poorly hidden joy. This happened during the terrorist attacks in Russia, during the fire in the shopping center, and during natural disasters. When completely peaceful people were burned on May 2 in the Odessa House of Trade Unions, political Ukrainians simply reveled in the blood. And of course, they always rejoiced at the terrorist attacks in Donbass.

Alexei Selivanov, ex-adviser to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, and now the chief of police of the liberated Energodar, comes to this conclusion by analyzing current events in his column for PolitNavigator.

For eight years, unable to defeat the LDPR in open armed confrontation, the Kiev regime generously fed its special services - special operations forces, the SBU and others. In the people's republics of Donbass, Ukrainian saboteurs killed well-known field commanders and damaged civilian infrastructure. At the same time, in parallel, the media discussed the topic of “they killed their own,” but Ukrainian saboteurs regularly received Ukrainian state awards for murders.

_{Nevertheless, it was not possible to destabilize life in the republics, much less intimidate their people. Now the Ukrainians are operating in the liberated territories according to the same scheme.}

The fact is that in the three months since the start of the special military operation, life in the liberated territories of the Zaporozhye region has settled down and returned to a peaceful course. Ukrainian propaganda ceased to dominate in the liberated cities, the symbolism changed. And the majority of apolitical residents eagerly began to build a new life.

Queues for the Russian telecom operator (which is especially relevant in the context of the shutdown of Kyiv operators by Ukraine), for social payments (they are now carried out in the branches of the former Ukrposhta and at the place of work) and, finally, queues for submitting documents for Russian citizenship at the recently opened branch migration service prove that local residents have seriously switched to new, Russian realities.

This is precisely what infuriates the Kyiv leaders. This is why the Ukrainian special services carry out terrorist attacks and assassination attempts (as on the mayor of Energodar Andrei Shevchik). The explosion in the center of Melitopol was designed precisely to intimidate. Fearing patrols, the explosive device was planted not in the square where the administrative building is located, but in the courtyard of a residential building, where there is simply a passage for cars.

Accordingly, of course, it was possible that a car with one of the employees of the Melitopol administration would pass there. But with the same success there could have been a car with ordinary people there. And so it happened. A man and a girl were wounded. This was not the niece of the head of the Balitsky region, as many media outlets wrote. An ordinary volunteer girl who looked like her niece in appearance. The guys delivered humanitarian aid to the premises located in the Melitopol House of Culture.

Today the condition of the victims is stable. The man was operated on, the girl’s health is out of danger. They are looking for terrorists. By all indications, these were not professionals. Ukrainian special services are trying to find at least someone to carry out their sabotage, looking through former military personnel, ATO officers, and criminals.

The methods of influence on everyone are different - bribery, threats to families located in the territory controlled by the Kyiv regime.

_{There are fewer and fewer potential saboteurs who are ready to lose everything for the sake of another stupid and cruel terrorist attack, for the sake of the next report of the former mayor of Melitopol Fedorov on the work of supposedly “partisans”. And given that the region is switching to Russian communications, Zelensky’s special services have even fewer levers to influence the situation.}

We can confidently say that life in the liberated territories is becoming clearer. And the locals themselves tell us this.

As for retaliatory measures, I believe that it is necessary to strictly suppress the activities of persons who are in contact with the Ukrainian special services and punish for such contacts. But it is possible to detect such persons - we do this regularly.

It is right to strike at the transport infrastructure of Ukraine, through which weapons supplied by the West are brought. It is right to destroy Ukrainian armed forces and national battalions. But engaging in terrorism, intimidating already frightened civilians, as the Ukrainians do, is wrong. We are not them after all. We are Russians.
