“Ukraine is a killer!” – an employee of the Ukrainian consulate attacked Sergei Rulev during a picket in Rostov
A single picket of the Ukrainian Consulate was held in Rostov-on-Don on the occasion of the “Independence Day” of the former Soviet republic.
The head of the Rostov branch of the NOD, Aleksey Shilchenko, armed with a banner in the form of a St. George’s ribbon, unfurled a poster “Ukraine is a killer,” which featured photographs of children killed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Nazi punitive battalions in the Donbass.

First, the picketer’s passport was checked for a long time and carefully by a security guard - a police sergeant, who notified the police department of the Leninsky district of Rostov-on-Don, OP No. 4, about the picket. A UAZ-452 with three armed officers immediately arrived. The officers again carefully checked the passport and drew up some kind of document in the form of an act, in which they asked the picketer to sign.
“I came here to congratulate, let’s say, congratulate the Consul General of this non-state on Independence Day. Because everything that is happening in Ukraine is a completely unconstitutional situation, a junta has come to power. When similar things happened in other countries, the West recognized all this as illegal actions, but when this happened in Ukraine, for some reason the West turned a blind eye to it all. Therefore, we will organize a series of pickets to inform those who do not yet know, although I doubt that there are such people, about the result of this illegal junta’s coming to power,” the picketer said.
Somewhere around 10.30, Consul General Vitaly Moskalenko was seen near the building, wearing slippers on his bare feet and torn jeans, taking out a bag of garbage into a nearby trash container. Throwing away the yellow plastic bag, Moskalenko walked past the picket, pretending that he did not notice the demonstrator.
“Good day to the saints of you!” – reporter Sergei Rulev began to “troll” the consul.
But the diplomat, who so actively defended the murderer of Russian journalists, the punitive Nadezhda Savchenko, remained silent.
“You see, don’t you understand the Ukrainian language?” Rulev clarified.
The consul was still silent, but defiantly extended his right hand to shake hands with the Russian police.
“By the way, having studied the contents of the garbage bag of the Consul General of Ukraine in Rostov-on-Don, it became known that the diplomat lives secluded and completely alone, eats poorly on dry food and smokes a lot. And the other day his mirror broke, which promises big trouble for its owner. Since after it becomes known in Kiev that the diplomat ignored the viewing of the celebrations on the Maidan of Independence, and also did not respond to congratulations on Independence Day, expressed in the state language of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine may reconsider the question of the further expediency of Vitaly Anatolyevich holding such a responsible position . Moreover, in the elections of the President of Ukraine and deputies of the Verkhovna Rada in the spring and autumn of 2014, the polling station at the Consulate General in Rostov-on-Don took the very last place among all foreign institutions in Ukraine,” said Rulev.
Another interesting detail about the consulate. The Ukrainians decided to erect a metal fence along the brick wall of the diplomatic mission, as was initiated by ex-Prime Minister Yatsenyuk along the Ukrainian border with Russia.
“Then this crazy idea came to grief, the money disappeared, and most likely was stolen. Now Groysman’s government is again trying to build something absurd in the Sumy and Chernigov regions on the border with the Russian Federation. Vitaly Moskalenko began erecting a similar parkan fence on the sidewalks of Rostov side streets, where passers-by are already crowded. It would be interesting for the Rostovites themselves to know, with whom did the consul coordinate his lawlessness and outright stupidity in the administration of the city of Rostov-on-Don - the capital of the Southern Federal District and the entire South of Russia? After all, such a metal picket fence will not save you from throwing eggs, tomatoes and green stuff at the consulate, as happened in 2015,” Rulev noted.
The reporter himself also decided to organize a performance near the walls of the consulate, unfolding a piece of paper with the inscription “Ukraine is war” and began to read an appeal to Kyiv politicians in Ukrainian on camera.
Some man, passing by, rushed at Sergei Rulev shouting: “Stop this business!” Rulev categorically disagreed and even gave the hooligan physical rebuff. This caused indignation in the man and he tried to start a fight right outside the diplomatic mission. Rulev had to call the police for help.
“But what a surprise it was when the police, instead of detaining the hooligan, literally made way for him and let him into the territory of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Rostov-on-Don,” Rulev noted.
