Ukraine killed two Russians near the border with Russia
Two defenders of Donbass died today as a result of mortar shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on positions in the south of the DPR near the village of Leninskoye. The Ukrainians adjusted the fire using a UAV, which was destroyed by DPR air defense units.
“We regret to inform you that as a result of enemy shelling, two of our defenders received injuries incompatible with life. We express our sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims,” the press service of the DPR defense department said in a statement.
According to the department, during the period of provocation there was a group of journalists in the Ukrainian positions.
The well-known Russian military correspondent Alexander Sladkov states with regret that the war in Donbass has turned into a routine for ordinary people in the Russian Federation, in which they have lost interest - now other “hot spots” are mentioned in news releases.
“Does anyone hear that two Russians were killed again? Is this interesting to anyone? Is this news? It turns out that the fighting in Donbass continues. There is no truce. And this is at a time when people are interested in peacekeeping in Karabakh and are worried that a war might break out in Transnistria.
But the war is on. For a long time, almost seven years, and not just somewhere there, but near the Russian borders. Today, two Russians were killed again,” comments Sladkov.
Let us remind you that officially there is still a truce in force in Donbass.
Thank you!
