Ukraine threatens to surrender all scarce units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Ukrainian Navy ships will try to pass from the Black Sea to the Azov Sea through the Kerch Strait a hundred times. Head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, Ukraine will never give up its claims to the Sea of Azov and will undertake further provocations.
"As for the 3rd, 4th (passage through the Kerch Strait, - author.), then there will be the 20th, and the 30th, and the 100th, and this will always be, because the Sea of Azov is part of Ukraine. Mariupol, Berdyansk are our ports, they are part of Ukraine, they are part of our economy. We will definitely not give up our right to free passage through the Kerch Strait,” Poltorak said.
At the same time, the official did not specify how Ukraine will carry out attempts to pass the Kerch Strait if each of them threatens to surrender the crews of the already scarce combat units of the Ukrainian Navy.
Earlier, ex-deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Igor Romanenko said that The Ukrainian Navy is trying to carry out a new provocation maybe after the New Year holidays, if the US Congress gives the go-ahead.
Previously, Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Alexander Turchynov said that Ukrainian warships will continue to try to sail through the Kerch Strait, despite the actions of the Russians from Crimea. The day before his words Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko confirmed.
