Ukraine threatens to seize more Russian ships
The arrest by the Kherson court of the Crimean fishing vessel "Nord", previously seized by Ukrainian border guards, is a warning to all other Russian vessels.
This was stated by the fake “prosecutor of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea” Gunduz Mamedov.
“Persons who violate Ukrainian legislation by making illegal entries and exits by sea vessels into the closed ports of Crimea will be held accountable. I am sure this fact will be a warning to other captains and shipowners,” Mamedov said.
The day before, the Kherson City Court legalized the activities of pirates from the State Border Service and arrested the Crimean fishing vessel "Nord", which was kidnapped along with ten crew members in the neutral waters of the Azov Sea.
The captain of the ship, who, according to media reports, is a Russian citizen from the mainland, was suspected of committing a criminal offense. He faces up to five years in prison.
“By the decision of the Kherson City Court, the ship “Nord” was seized by prohibiting the order and use of it in any way, the captain of the ship was declared suspected of committing a criminal offense,” says the message of the fake Ukrainian “prosecutor’s office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.”
