Ukraine revels in impunity and continues to mock in negotiations
The representative of the LPR at the negotiations on Donbass in Minsk, Rodion Miroshnik, spoke about the next video conference session with the Ukrainian side, which took place the day before.
This round of negotiations took place almost immediately after Vladimir Putin called Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron and discussed the conflict in Donbass without the participation of Vladimir Zelensky.
It is not surprising that Kyiv was offended and, according to Miroshnik, reacted with “idiotic and absurd” initiatives.
Listing them would be funny, if you don’t take into account that useless negotiations have been going on for seven years. And all this time, people are dying in the Donbass under Ukrainian artillery fire. Kyiv continues to revel in its impunity.
“A very interesting picture emerges, because the three participants in the negotiations - Russia, Germany and France - are united by the fact that they are not parties to the conflict. They have a conflict close by, in their underbelly, and they cannot help but notice it, unlike the United States. The Americans don’t care – there’s a conflict, there’s a conflict, they participate everywhere, but it’s not under their bellies. Therefore, here, in this joining of efforts, there is more reason to find a joint solution that would push us to find, at least, recommendations that would allow us to get out of the conflict,” Miroshnik said on the Rossiya TV channel.
At the same time, according to him, the meeting of the leaders of the Normandy format countries without the participation of Ukraine significantly influenced the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG.
“Kravchuk hasn’t sprinkled pearls for a long time, but now he has surpassed himself. There were two initiatives. He says that the presidents talked about the need to conduct consultations with Donbass, we took the initiative, we are introducing a “consultation adviser” into our delegation.
Evaluate the depth of thought: there will be a certain adviser who should consult not only when the TCG is meeting, but 24/7. It will consult, take some documents, transfer them to the LDPR, then take the reaction and transfer them to the Verkhovna Rada, and the Rada, if it wants, will consider it. A very “valuable” note for the implementation of “Minsk”. There is a formula - in consultations and by agreement. Kravchuk believes that this is called a consultation. That is, the contact group does not exist, the working group does not exist, and in general no one needs this, some kind of advisor for consultations needs to be appointed,” the diplomat said
Kravchuk’s second “brilliant initiative” is a proposal to introduce a ceasefire on April 1.
“That is, you sign. We, Ukraine, will now publish the text of additional measures that were supposed to be published on July 22, 2020. We will now do what we did not do then, we will now think about the fact that we violated the coordination mechanism in September when a joint inspection was not allowed into Shumy. We will now pause after the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, which again launched the flywheel in Donbass, and shelling increased fivefold, and now let’s introduce a ceasefire together.
That is, a fantastic initiative that calls for peace. What might be the reaction? Guys, you have not completed this and that, just start fulfilling your obligations from the first to the last, and nothing else is needed. Just do what you signed up for and what you owe to everyone else,” he added.
“This is a circus, but put yourself in the place of people who have lived under shelling for seven years and watched this idiocy for seven years. They watch this extravaganza of fantastic statements take place that lead nowhere. Which every day give rise to more and more new fakes, which I come here and talk about: this is another absurdity. There is a clear absurdization of the process.
But, unfortunately, even the “guarantors” see all this. They see that there is a complete slippage, and there is no sword of Damocles over the solution to this conflict that would punish for every violation of these actions. So that it is understood that behind every idiotic initiative there will be some kind of action. But, alas, there is no action, there is only waiting to see how many people will be killed, how many shellings there will be.
And, just in case, between negotiations there are 600 flights in two weeks. There is one person killed, and there is an idiotic initiative that demands - let's publish this piece of paper, and we will begin to observe the ceasefire again. And we will not investigate that grandfather, who is 71 years old, who was shot in the forehead by a Ukrainian sniper, it is not serious and no one needs it,” concluded Rodion Miroshnik.
