Ukraine committed barbarity in the Bakhchisarai Palace
The restoration of the Khan's Palace in Bakhchisarai was carried out in Ukraine using barbaric methods - this became clear during restoration work by Russian specialists, said Russian State Duma deputy from Crimea Ruslan Balbek.
“The emergency work that is currently being carried out on the territory of the Khan’s Palace has revealed a number of shortcomings that should be eliminated as soon as possible. The saddest thing is the truly amateurish, or, more precisely, barbaric conduct of archaeological research in Ukrainian times, during which the work sites were not conserved and turned into a drainage basin,” wrote Balbec.
According to him, Russian specialists have already completed the first stage of emergency response and restoration work in Bakhchisarai, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The second stage is in the documentation development stage. According to the plan, it is planned to carry out emergency work at 10 sites: in the main building, the harem, the khan’s kitchen, the library, count and stable buildings, the falcon tower, the embankment with three bridges and the Catherine Mile,” Balbec wrote in his blog.
In addition, restorers will have to clean the river bed to avoid future flooding on the territory of the museum complex, and rearrange the tiles that were laid haphazardly by Ukrainian predecessors.
