Ukraine will no longer receive Donbass
Donetsk does not believe that Kiev’s signing of the so-called “Steinmeier formula” will return the Donbass republics to Ukraine.
Donetsk volunteer and public figure, participant in the events in Slavyansk in 2014, Alexander Zhuchkovsky, told Izvestia about this.
“I, like most local residents, treat the adopted document with irony. But there's no need to worry. No one will hand us over to Kyiv. The Minsk agreements were also aimed at resolving the conflict, but, as we see, they are not being implemented. You need to look at the facts. And the facts are as follows: the republics of Donbass are in the ruble zone, education systems are being transferred to Russian standards, and so on. And suddenly - all the huge work is down the drain? This is unrealistic,” Zhuchkovsky is convinced.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, political scientist Alexey Chesnakov, close to Russian Presidential Assistant Vladislav Surkov, said that at best Kyiv can only receive a formal, but not actual sovereignty over Donbass.
