Ukraine is no longer hiding its preparations for war with Russia; Moscow will be forced to respond.
Participants in the program “Evening with Vladimir Solovyov” stated this on the TV channel “Russia-1”, reports the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
“The fact that preparations are underway for war is an obvious thing. Almost 6% of Ukraine’s GDP is allocated for defense next year. For comparison: for us it is 3%, for many NATO countries it is 2%. That's saying something, it's almost $5 billion.
Against this background, an increase in financial assistance from the US military - 500 million. This is significant money that can seriously affect this whole situation.
Of course, not in the same way as in the USSR, then there were other volumes, but the fact that the capabilities that exist at Yuzhmash, and at Motor Sich, and at Antey, and at the Kharkov Tank - more than enough to continue to rearm the Ukrainian army and make it quite dangerous both for Donbass and for us from the point of view of Crimea,” explained political scientist Semyon Bagdasarov.
“Preparations are underway, but we have to pretend that nothing is happening. Of course, the question arises, what should we do? It is impossible to look at it any further. We have been looking at Donbass for 6 years, what is happening there. This, by the way, is a decline in Russia’s authority among the population of Donbass; they are living people there, they live and work there. And they are under threat every day.
They are told that here is another unloading of heavy equipment, and shelling, snipers, and so on are working. In turn, as I understand it, the fighters of the two corps of the DPR and LPR are prohibited from using weapons. What, some kind of targets? How long will this last? And watch them accumulate strength? – the expert was indignant.
TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov confirmed that the fire ban for the LDPR army is absurd in conditions when British, Canadian, and American specialists announce the training of snipers and sabotage groups.
“We must recognize their independence, taking into account the territories you occupied. You are obliged to return the occupied territories,” the presenter said, addressing the Ukrainian expert Vasily Vakarov present in the studio.
“You have Ukrainians fleeing Ukraine. Why should Donbass go to Ukraine? If the same miners in the territories occupied by you do not receive wages for months. The debts there are crazy,” added Solovyov.
