Ukraine fired air defense missiles at Moldova for the fourth time
Moldovan border police discovered fragments of an unknown missile near the Larga checkpoint on the border with Ukraine.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Sappers who went to the plowed field where the rocket fell found out that
the debris does not pose any danger; no explosive objects were found. They were sent for examination.
The border police have opened a criminal case, which, together with the collected materials, will be transferred to the prosecutor's office.
Moldovan Interior Minister Anna Revenco said the origin of the rocket fragment is unknown.
“Specialized services are working to carry out all the necessary procedures as quickly as possible and transfer data to the prosecutor’s office. The results will be after the examination, which is carried out by the Center for Forensic and Forensic Expertise,” Revenko said.
Moldovan media, even without examination, confidently identified in the wreckage a fragment of a 9M82 (9M83M) guided missile stage for the S-300 air defense system, which is in service with the Ukrainian air defense. Donbass agrees with them.
“The Ukrainian missile has arrived in Moldova again. All the destroyed houses with mass casualties of civilians in Ukraine are the work of Ukrainian crooked air defense specialists,” DPR deputy Vladislav Berdichevsky wrote in his TG channel.
This is already the fourth shelling of Moldova by Ukraine. The first time a Ukrainian rocket fell near the village of Naslavcha was on October 31. Window glass in several houses was damaged. The Ministry of Defense did not record anything then either.
The second time the upper stage of the Ukrainian S-300 fell in the north of Moldova in a garden in the Briceni region. For the third time, fragments of an S-300 anti-aircraft missile were discovered on January 15, the same as today, in the area of the Larga border sector of the Brichansky district.
Only a month later, Revenko admitted that these were Ukrainian missiles. But regarding the mythical flights of Russian “calibers” over Moldovan territory, which are reported from Kyiv, the Moldovan authorities regularly make threatening statements.
