Ukraine lost a third of its “mosquito fleet” in the Kerch Strait
The decision to develop the so-called The “mosquito fleet” in Ukraine was ill-conceived, as the incident in the Kerch Strait showed.
Ex-adviser to the Minister of Emergency Situations of Ukraine Konstantin Grinchuk stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine is starting to develop a “mosquito fleet”. The “Mosquito Fleet” are those ships that were transported from Odessa. Why was it necessary to send these ships to Odessa in the first place, if such a ship is afraid of medium waves? I and many military personnel had this question even then.
This boat can be used in shallow waters. However, they were transferred to Odessa, and a few days ago the decision was made to transfer them from point A to point B,” he said.
This decision was ill-conceived and those who made it should be punished, Grinchuk believes.
“What did we see? It turns out that Russia is the aggressor. It turns out that she suddenly attacked. There must be someone responsible for such a redeployment of ships; in fact, we have lost half of the “mosquito fleet” of Ukraine. We only have 4 or 6 pieces. This is already a crime,” he said.
