About this yourself on a page on the social network “Facebook” said Victoria Talakina, press secretary of the DPR plenipotentiary representative at the Contact Group negotiations in Minsk Denis Pushilin.
In particular, Victoria Talakina noted that the key issues of today's meeting of the Contact Group in Minsk were the issues of conducting an exchange of prisoners and restoring the work of the Vodafone mobile operator in the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic.
DPR Plenipotentiary Denis Pushilin called the lack of communications in the Republic “elements of a communication blockade deliberately carried out by the Ukrainian side.” According to him, Ukraine, starting in October last year, purposefully cut off communications between the republics. The first news was a break in the trunk lines supplying the Internet to the territory of the LDPR last fall, then a break in the cables serving the equipment of the mobile operator this year.
“Taking into account the social consequences of the lack of communications on the territory of the Republic, which primarily affected the least protected categories of the population, Denis Pushilin called for an early search for solutions to this issue. Representatives of the OSCE SMM in the negotiation process also spoke out for the need to resolve this situation,” Talakina noted.
In addition, as Pushilin’s press secretary writes, the negotiators’ special attention was focused on discussing the process of prisoner exchange. At the moment, active work is underway to agree on the list of exchanged ones.
