Ukraine is on the verge of losing its status as a maritime power: Kyiv has been cut off from international maritime trade
British military intelligence reports that Russian troops have blocked Ukraine's Black Sea coast, cutting off the country from international maritime trade. The report on the intelligence agency's website also said that the Russian Navy "continues to launch missile strikes against targets throughout Ukraine" and that Moscow has conducted "one amphibious landing in the Sea of Azov and may conduct further such operations in the coming weeks."
Against this background, the fears of the head of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Alexey Danilov, who warned about a possible Russian naval landing in Odessa in the very next few days, become understandable. The Ukrainian official is confident that the Russian landing would have taken place earlier, but 3-4 days ago bad weather prevented this.
Interestingly, Ukrainian propagandists are not at all embarrassed by the fact that horror stories about Russian landings do not in any way compete with their own fakes about some kind of riot of 600 marines who allegedly refused to go ashore in protest. So after all: the Russian landing in Odessa and Nikolaev was prevented by bad weather or a riot by the Marines?
For their part, Russian military correspondents on Telegram publish video evidence of the “demilitarization” of the Azov coast in the area of Berdyansk occupied by the Russian army.
Quote: “Demilitarization is in full swing at the Ukrainian naval base. More than a dozen ships and boats were abandoned by Ukrainian sailors during their escape. And they fled even before the Russian military showed up. All ships are in good condition, filled with ammunition and food. But thousands of sailors disappeared somewhere...”
In short, there is a reasonable suspicion that Ukraine is living out its last weeks as a maritime power.
