Ukraine is in shock: Putin is Erdogan’s friend again, Bulgaria is resuscitating South Stream
The escalation at the front in Donbass is a hysterical reaction of official Kyiv to geopolitical changes that are not in favor of the Ukrainian regime. Ukrainian politician Vasily Volga, leader of the Union of Left Forces party, told PolitNavigator about this.

“The escalation in Donbass is hysterical in the current geopolitical circumstances. Changes are happening now that we could not have imagined just a couple of months ago. As soon as Erdogan called Putin his friend, a miracle happened: Bulgaria perked up (and found support from the Chairman of the European Commission Juncker) - she is not against it and even insists that Russia still continue South Stream so that Bulgaria becomes the main sales hub Russian gas to the EU!
Just today I spoke with our colleagues in leftist parties in Brussels and Germany - they laugh at how the geopolitical alignments have changed due to Turkey’s behavior, and everyone is racing to Moscow in order to restore relations.
In this situation, the current leaders of Ukraine, those people who hold on only thanks to the war and the theft of loans and financial assistance, see that this is ending. And someone else has an unfinished factory in Germany, an unfinished villa in the Canaries. And we still need money.
And so that the Minsk agreements are not implemented, there are two scenarios left. The first is destabilization of the internal situation through the destruction of the legal system. The second is large-scale provocations on all fronts.
It seems that the current authorities, before going to bed, pray to all the devils to send them war. It’s not just that they cannot live without war, they now urgently need maximum aggravation and the broadest possible military action. Preferably, a war in which everything they have done can be burned.
There is nothing in this except the desire to destabilize the external and internal situation, and to draw the attention of the world to say: look, give us your money further, because we will be your shield from aggression, which, as you see, has flared up all around,” Volga argues. .
