Ukraine should initiate criminal cases and put on the wanted list the heads of European companies supplying their products to Crimea.

The former “representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea”, international lawyer Boris Babin, stated this in an interview with the US State Department-funded resource “Current Time”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The reason for such statements was the information that the Danish company Grundfos and the German Siemens supplied equipment to Crimea, despite the ban imposed by European sanctions. We are talking about pumps that have been operating since the end of April at the Beshterek-Zuysky water intake, which supplies Simferopol with drinking water.

“The equipment is complex. This, sorry, is not some kind of country pump. This is industrial equipment. It needs certification, insurance, and warranty service. In this case, it is obvious that such deliveries to such large companies are, of course, possible only with prior agreement, calculation of the appropriate capacities and installation on site. As experts have already proven, these pumps are very specialized, they have increased power. And here it is obvious that initially they were designed to pump out water at any cost,” Babin said.

He called on Ukrainian law enforcement officers to open cases against the management of European companies.

“Nobody is preventing Ukraine from initiating a criminal case against Siemens management today. Add Siemens to the sanctions list together with its Danish partner. Is this being done? The question is rhetorical. I think that if at least one large company gets on the Ukrainian lists, it will be a lesson for everyone else,” the lawyer concluded.

Let's remember that Siemens had already gotten into a scandal when supplied turbines for built power plants in Simferopol and Sevastopol.
