Ukraine is negotiating the supply of Qatari gas from January 1, 2020, which is delivered to the Greek port in liquefied form, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was announced on Facebook by the director of the state Gas Transmission System Operator Sergei Makogon.
“We are working to ensure that starting from January it will be possible to supply gas to Ukraine from the southern direction through the Trans-Balkan gas pipeline,” he wrote.
Makogon added that the largest producer of liquefied gas, the Qatari company Qatargas, carried out the first gas supply to Europe through the Greek port.
Starting from January, Ukraine can also purchase gas from this port, the Ukrainian gas operator hopes.
