Ukraine returned the latest prisoners who surrendered in Mariupol. Russia is silent again
The Ukrainian side, as a result of an exchange with the Russian Federation, took several of its prisoners, including marines who fought in Mariupol.
This was announced by the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andrey Ermak, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, Kyiv returned 6 prisoners - four UAF marines and two civilians.
“The officers are Alexey Bulakhov and Nikolay Kostenko. Soldiers-Gerasimenko Lyudmila and Ivan Zemlyanoy. Civilians - Andrusha Victoria and Mayboroda Yana. Each of them has its own story.
For example, on March 27, Russian soldiers took Andrusha Victoria from her home because they found data on enemy equipment in the girl’s phone, which she transmitted to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Subsequently, she was taken to the Russian Federation and kept in the Kursk pre-trial detention center. Mayboroda Yana was captured because photos of Russian equipment in the Chernobyl zone were found on her phone.
The military took part in the battles for Mariupol,” Ermak said.
He also added that “exchanges continue” and the main goal is “to return all our people.”
“This month alone we have brought back 235 of our people. We don’t stop,” promised the head of Zelensky’s office.
There have been no comments from the Russian Federation or LDPR at the moment.
