Ukraine included an astronaut and a chess player on its sanctions list
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree that imposes sanctions against Crimean social activists, businessmen, politicians and journalists.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, a total of 377 people were included in the list; restrictions on them are imposed for a period of one to three years.
According to the decree, Ukraine will impose an asset freeze on these individuals, a ban on participation in the privatization or leasing of state property, a ban on the transfer of technology and intellectual property rights, and will refuse to provide visas and permits to travel outside the country.
At the same time, the principle by which these people were included in the Ukrainian sanctions list is unknown. It’s interesting that there are politicians, journalists, athletes and even an astronaut here.
For example, the list includes, among others, former candidate for the State Duma of the Russian Federation from the Rodina party Andrei Pasha, social activist Konstantin Knyrik, one of the leaders of the Crimean Self-Defense Vladimir Mertsalov, Crimean cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov, former producer of Grigory Leps Igor Siliverstov, chess player Rustem Emirov, Yalta journalist Sergei Sardyko, blogger Alexander Talipov, former commander of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation Vladimir Komoyedov, first secretary of the Crimean Republican branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Oleg Solomakhin, former deputy of the Crimean parliament Anatoly Avidzba, deputy of the Simferopol City Council Stepan Kiskin and others.
Let us remind you that Russian museums, universities and companies are also on the sanctions lists approved by the decree of the President of Ukraine. At the same time Zelensky removed observers from sanctions for the elections in the DPR and LPR, among which is the granddaughter of the Italian dictator Benito Mussolini.
