According to sources, Kyiv has verbally agreed to “put the formula on paper in the near future,” after which a meeting in the “Normandy Format” of the leaders of Russia, France, Germany and Ukraine will take place in Paris.
“There can be no negotiations in the Normandy format until Kyiv signs the Steinmeier formula.” This was and remains the main condition,” said the publication’s interlocutor. “At the same time, Ukraine verbally confirmed its obligations in this regard. Moreover, they are ready to strictly follow the Minsk agreements, including on the issue of the special status of Donbass. All these verbal assurances inspire cautious optimism that the protracted issue will be quickly resolved. Moscow can only welcome this.”
Another source says that as soon as this condition is met, the Normandy Four summit will be organized fairly quickly.
