Ukraine is not negotiating the terms of resuming water supplies to Crimea.
This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal, who reported to journalists for 100 days of work as head of the Cabinet.
“Resuming supplies through the Crimean Canal is not on the agenda. This is not the subject of some kind of bargaining,” he said, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“You see the result - water is not supplied to Crimea. We understand that she physically cannot go there,” says the Ukrainian official.
Shmygal clarified that “the Russian Federation today is the occupier of Crimea,” and therefore is responsible for providing water to the residents of the peninsula.
