Ukraine entered the Top 3 “hot spots” according to the Russian Ministry of Defense
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu named Ukraine among three strategically important regions in which tensions are increasing.
“Today tension in the world is growing. First of all, in such strategically important areas for Russia as Ukraine, Syria and the Korean Peninsula,” Shoigu said today, speaking at a meeting of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.
He placed responsibility for the aggravation of the situation on the United States and Western countries, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Washington and Western countries continue to impose on the world community the idea of the existence of a Russian military threat. Many states follow this policy. This has a negative impact on the formation of a united front in the fight against the main evil of our time – international terrorism,” Shoigu said.
The minister emphasized that in these conditions Russia must continue to improve its armed forces.
