Ukraine is among the three countries with the most likely default. This is stated in a study conducted by the American agency Bloomberg.
Thus, the risk of default next year is estimated by experts at 17,8%. Only Venezuela with 18% and Greece with 24% are ahead of Ukraine.

The reason for this risk, according to experts, was the protracted conflict in Donbass, the deterioration of relations with Russia after the incident with the Ukrainian DRG in Crimea, and the IMF’s refusal to provide the next tranche of the loan. Today, Ukraine has dropped to level B- in the international rating, which is six points below the investment level of S&P Global Ratings.
Ukraine has previously refused to pay a 3 billion debt to Russia, calling it “a bribe to the regime of Viktor Yanukovych” for refusing European integration. However, Kyiv did not officially declare a default.
