Such rhetoric on the Ukrainian side is connected with the need to justify violations of the Minsk agreements by Kiev, military correspondent Andrei Zablotsky working in Donbass explained to PolitNavigator.
“They are looking for loopholes to justify their own actions in the eyes of the public. At the same time, the ATO command deliberately carries out provocations, which should then look like the actions of the DPR army.
This happened recently with the shelling of the village of Zaporozhets, when fire was opened in the area of their own positions, and after that almost immediately fire was opened on our territory.
All of these are links in one chain: first, statements are made that will explain the presence of artillery on the front line, and periodically, to confirm these words, provocations are organized with shelling either of their empty positions, or of some guys who are not very valuable to them like the “Right” sector." This is approximately the order in which everything happens,” summed up the military correspondent.
