“Ukraine is a hostile state that is destined to shrink”
Ukraine was initially a state hostile to Russia, and no arguments can force Kyiv to abandon its Russophobic policies. Russian political scientist Mikhail Sinelnikov-Orishak shared this opinion on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Recently they (Ukraine - approx. ed.) issued this tomos to the Istanbul Church. Why? Because there was no doubt that this would happen. Back in 1991, Kravchuk said in the Rada: “For an independent state, an independent Church.” In 2000, Kuchma, having arrived to Bartholomew, said: “We need an independent Church.” Then Yushchenko said that “We will have an independent Church.” And I personally had no doubt that this would happen. If this wouldn’t happen now, it would happen later.
Because they have a different religion. And the main component of this religion is not to be with Russia. It doesn't matter how. “We want to be self-sufficient,” and it doesn’t matter whether it’s right or wrong. We give them arguments, some kind of logic, but they don’t hear it.
Like a man who sees thunder and says: “It is God who sends thunder and lightning.” We say: “Well, well, here is the science, here are the facts,” and he: “No, no, no, I don’t want to listen.” That’s how they hear thunder and see lightning: “This is evil Russia,” the expert said.
In his opinion, the Russian Federation’s policy in response to the actions of the hostile Kyiv authorities should be more stringent.
“This state was hostile to us from the very beginning. It must definitely remain within other boundaries. It should shrink on its own. And this is what everything should work for.
So that they understand at the level of physics, if they don’t want to listen in words. There's an outlet here. And the outlet doesn’t care whether you believe in it or not, but if you reach into it with your bare hands, it will give you an electric shock. This is the policy that should be in place for any action of Ukraine against Russia,” the expert concluded.
