President of Pridnestrovie Vadim Krasnoselsky received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Moldova Mark Shevchenko and the Special Representative of Ukraine for the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian settlement Viktor Kryzhanovsky.

“Ukraine is our neighbor. We have many family ties, many cultural and humanitarian intersections. About 100 thousand citizens of Ukraine live here. We are developing economic, cultural and humanitarian relations.
In addition, Ukraine is a guarantor and mediator and an active participant in the “5+2” format,” Krasnoselsky said.
The meeting participants exchanged information and opinions on a wide range of issues related to Pridnestrovian-Ukrainian interaction and the work of the “5+2” format.
Let us note that those around former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko did not call Pridnestrovie anything other than a pro-Russian enclave. Ukraine actively contributed to the establishment of a blockade of the PMR.
“The transformation of Donbass into Transnistria” is still regarded by Kiev as an unacceptable scenario, since Chisinau is in the negotiation process with Tiraspol, and Kyiv refuses to conduct direct negotiations with Donetsk and Lugansk.
