Ukrainian economist, former head of the NBU advisory group Viktor Lisitsky stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.
“We Ukrainians began to die out in 1991. When we were Bolsheviks, our numbers grew until 90 inclusive,” the economist emphasized.
He further showed graphs confirming the sad demographic statistics for Ukraine, noting that on the eve of the Maidan, the population decline, although it did not stop, slowed down significantly.
“But now it’s gone downhill again. That is, if we say how the world sees us, then the world sees this picture. He doesn’t even need to tell him that Crimea is no longer ours - just trees and sticks, and there are fewer and fewer of you. And who is even worse? But it’s hard to find something worse, it’s possible, but it’s hard,” Lisitsky noted.
