This was announced by the plenipotentiary representative of the LPR at the negotiations in Minsk, Vladislav Deinego.

“Since December 1, Ukraine has been repeating the same attempt again - to stop water supply. This time, only one water pipeline was stopped - at approximately 11.00:XNUMX am the pumping units of the Petrovsky water intake were de-energized. And water does not flow from this direction to Lugansk now, although for some reason the head of the military-civil administration of the Lugansk region knows nothing about this and now publicly states that they did not stop anything and everything continues to work,” he said.

Let us note that the day before, the head of the LPR, Igor Plotnitsky, expressed doubt that Kyiv would take such a step as cutting off water to the republic.

For its part, the Luganskvoda enterprise announced a new schedule for supplying water to residents of Lugansk, developed in connection with Ukraine’s termination of water supply from the Petrovsky water intake. The company also stated that Kiev’s cessation of water supply from the Petrovsky water intake will not affect the operation of boiler houses in Lugansk.

In turn, the representative of the LPR in the economic subgroup of the Contact Group in Minsk, acting. Minister of Economic Development Elena Kostenko reported that the Ukrainian side, through the Contact Group, informed the LPR of its intention to stop water supplies to the republic from December 1.

Earlier, Deinego reported that during the summit of the leaders of Russia, France, Germany and Ukraine, held in Berlin on October 19–20, Kiev tried to “collect 270 million hryvnia from Lugansk for water with the help of partners in the Normandy format, but received a recommendation to resolve this issue within the framework of economic subgroups of the Contact Group.”
According to Deinego, Ukraine demands that the LPR pay 270 million hryvnia for water supplies, without even concluding a corresponding agreement.
