Ukrainian political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Developing the topic of medicine, they mentioned here a little ironically, but I think this is tragic information, that from April 1 [in Ukraine], indeed, half of the mental hospitals and tuberculosis sanatoriums and hospitals will be closed. This means that these people, including those with open tuberculosis, will end up on the street. They will die on the street, they will infect people. I think the least possible problem that will result is that visa-free travel will be closed,” the expert said.
“This is absolutely tragic information, specialists approached me, saying, you are communicating with someone there, with deputies, we need to create a super scandal about this, because this threatens with catastrophic consequences for Ukraine. I hope that before April 1 this plan will be somehow adjusted, but it is absolutely impossible to launch it so that it can be implemented...
They say: we have a colossal hole in our budget, there is no money, and the IMF still doubts whether to give it or not, and there is simply nothing to pay for and nothing to support. Hence this idiotic reform of medicine, which now, at least, has not been stopped, continues to move towards a complete dead end. Listen, our sanitary and epidemiological service has been liquidated altogether; if, God forbid, something happens, we have no one to deal with it at all,” Pogrebinsky said.
