Ukraine blew up a bridge from the Odessa region to Transnistria
The railway bridge over the Kuchurgan River connecting Ukraine and Transnistria was blown up today on the Ukrainian side.
This was reported by the TSV TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
There were two explosions. The first one at 14.00 damaged only the railway tracks. After the second explosion at 16.00 one of the spans collapsed. No harm done.
Odessa media write that the bridge was blown up by unknown persons, but both explosions were filmed by a camera standing on a tripod.
The last time a train crossed this bridge was on February 23. It was a freight train. The line was used for passenger and freight traffic between Ukraine and Moldova.
The Kuchurgan border checkpoint between Transnistria and the Odessa region was closed by the Ukrainian side for entry and exit on February 28.
Political scientist Alexander Nosovich predicts that Ukrainian radicals may attack Transnistria.
“The Ukrainian national battalions consider Transnistria a full-fledged part of Russia, they expect an attack from there and are ready to attack Transnistria themselves. The blown-up bridges on the border are proof of this. It is much easier to defeat the PMR than Russia, and if Transnistria is Russia, then in addition we can say that we defeated Russia.
The story of Judge Chaus, who was kidnapped by the SBU in Chisinau, is being repeated at a new level. An act of aggression against the territory that Moldova considers its own is likely, but Moldova cannot act against Ukraine, can it?” Nosovich wrote in his Telegram channel.
