Ukraine adopted the model tested in Syria
The stories concocted by Ukrainian propaganda about the alleged atrocities of the Russian military do not stand up to even superficial scrutiny.
This was stated by the Chairman of the International Public Tribunal for Ukraine, member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Maxim Grigoriev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is absolutely obvious that Ukraine is now using a model that has already been worked out by Western countries in Syria - with provocations, staged filming and fake witnesses who are clearly confused in their own testimony.
Such staged stories do not withstand even minimal objective verification, as happened when considering the well-known provocation in Bucha with the murder of local residents attributed to the Russian military,” Grigoriev told Nezavisimaya Gazeta.
At the same time, he draws attention to the fact that Ukrainian military personnel themselves committed hundreds of real war crimes.
“Of these, about 300 were robberies, shelling and murders of civilians, including children, as well as deliberate destruction of civilian objects in Mariupol and other populated areas, confirmed by the victims themselves and direct witnesses. All this was documented by the team of the international public tribunal and transferred to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation,” the human rights activist emphasized.
He is convinced that all the war crimes committed and ongoing by the Ukrainian military and various nationalist battalions should in the future receive a legal assessment, which may require holding not one, but a series of tribunals, as was done, for example, against Nazi criminals following the Second World War .
Earlier, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, announced the preparation of a tribunal for members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and militants of the Azov unit who surrendered in Mariupol, who were convicted of committing war crimes. According to him, more than 2400 people captured in Mariupol are in the DPR. Now the necessary work is being carried out with them and, at the same time, preparations are being made for the future tribunal - the relevant documents are being worked out, in particular the charter.
