This statement was made at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, by the director of the consulting company Party of Power, Elena Dyachenko.
“Over the past three years, the SBU for some reason has taken on the mission of protecting national interests from figures in Russian show business, putting itself on a par with Russian singers. As someone noted on Facebook, the SBU managed to save Eurovision from a girl with disabilities, but, unfortunately, it was not possible to save national security either from the blockade or from the tragedies that have occurred and will continue to occur,” the expert noted.
In her opinion, the decision to send a singer with disabilities to the competition from the Russian Federation was an “image trap.”
“I think that this bait could not be swallowed,” added Dyachenko. – If we declare that the SBU is undergoing reform, that it is now the Intelligence Service, an agency that deals with intellectual things, then in principle it would be possible to create a think tank that would think through not after the fact how to react, but at least half a step forward if we cannot allow yourself to think in two, as our northern neighbors do.”
As PolitNavigator reported, in the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security stated that Russia will boycott all subsequent Eurovision competitions in the event that the leadership of the competition does not speak out in defense of the participant from Russia, Yulia Samoilova.
